Ray Sexton called the meeting to order.

Secretary's report was read and accepted.

Treasurer's report was read and accepted.

The updated Bylaws we brought before the club for vote: motions were made to accept; motion passed. (You can view the updated bylaws on the web site.)

Host families: Kandy Boor is host family committee chairman. She passed out an outline; discussion ensued, including changing the name to "resource families." She mentioned there will be more chance for discussion.

The Player Apartment committee being taken over by Vicki Shearhart.

Sixteen people have signed up for the Stars-Red Wings game in September at $35 per ticket. Red Roof Inn rooms will be $40.49 for two people without the 10% discount. $5 more if you add more folks. The idea was brought up to go to Six Flags on that Saturday and if we have 10 people to go we'll get a discount. There is also an NHL game that will be held Sept. 28 at Bossier City - Nashville Predators and Atlanta Thrashers. It is $20 for the best seats. If you're interested, contact Kevin.

As far as RiverBlade road trips, Kevin said our club is planning to go to most of the Jackson games.

Charley Foster reported on the ECHL Jamboree. All but two teams were represented and about 200-250 people there. There are more booster clubs becoming more involved in the front office and offering to help more. He gathered ideas on activities with the players and ideas for scrapbooks. The Grrrowl owner held a discussion re: support of hockey.

Ray discussed the opening game and suggested we may want to have a tailgating party; maybe get sponsors to help cook up gator for the party and have other fun events there.

Matt Amato talked about his Boys and Girls Club work. He went a couple of weeks ago with Mark Scott to see them. Mark was showing them how to use a hockey stick. Matt needs hockey equipment to give to the Boys and Girls Club - $1000 total to get the equipment - so we're looking for sponsors. The kids will start out on foot in the gym, then we'll introduce street hockey.

Ray thanked Jeremy at Riverdale 10 who has donated quite a bit and allowed us to have a booster table at the theater recently.

It was announced that Kevin Figley now has the old Rocky suit to help with summer promotions.
